Home»Basement Waterproofing»Dry Basement We Can Create a Dry Basement in Any Home A dry basement creates extra living space in your home Many homeowners think that having a dry basement is impossible, accepting a damp, musty and moldy room below their house because they think there is no other way. How can a room that’s underground and surrounded by loose soil not get flooded regularly? However, your local Basement Systems deal can make it possible to have a dry basement in your house and to use this extra space to your advantage. Basement Systems provides high-quality basement waterproofing services for homeowners that are ready for a dry basement. Get a Free Quote! Dry basements are possible if the proper drainage systems and sump pumps are installed. Loose soil around a foundation easily allows water to flow through and seep into a basement through the porous concrete walls and floor, so a reliable system is necessary to keep the water out. A dry basement also requires a trustworthy system to pump the water out of the basement and away from the house. Gain extra storage space by getting a dry, waterproof basement The Basement Systems WaterGuard® drainage system circles the interior perimeter of a basement along the floor to capture any water seeping in. A powerful and reliable sump pump system, such as the TripleSafe sump pump, pumps water out of the house leaving the homeowner with a dry basement. The water can then be flowed away from the house using our RainChute® downspout extension. Our experienced professional basement waterproofing contractors are trained to tackle any wet basement problems for homeowners. Basement Systems has waterproofing dealerships all across the country, as well as in Canada, the U.K. and Ireland. Since 1975, Jon’s Dry Basement® has installed over 32,000 waterproofing drainage systems. Jon’s Dry Basement® can put an end to your worries about mess and water damage every time it rains. Our name says it all.Learn More Foundation RepairIf you have a sinking or settling foundation we can repair it permanently. In almost 40 years in business, we have stabilized and raised thousands of homes and structures. Unstable soil that expands during rainy periods and contracts during periods of drought causes foundations to settle vertically. After the placement of over 14,000 patented HouseHolder® Steel Piers without a single failure using materials we created, and installation procedures we designed, we can fix your problem for good!Learn More Bowed Wall RepairWalls bow primarily due to expanding soil, poor drainage, and negative grade adjacent to the basement wall. When it rains or snow melts, the water collects next to the wall instead of draining away. As water saturates the soil adjacent to the wall, the moisture content of the expansive soil is increased and the soil expands putting enormous amounts of stress on the outside of the foundation wall, causing it to crack and move inward.Learn More Sump PumpsA quality sump pump is the most important component of any effective waterproofing drainage system. There have been a lot of recent improvements in the sump pump systems. The modern pumps systems we offer have multiple pumps units, battery backup in case the power goes out and sealed sump basins to ensure no hazardous Radon gas can escape into your living space.Learn More Crawl Space EncapsulationUntil recently almost every dirt crawl space that was built had air flowing freely from the outside into the crawl space. This practice wasted an amazing amount of costly energy, allowing musty air, moisture, and insects to freely enter your living environment. In the past ten years many homeowners have realized all the benefits that encapsulation offers. The International Building Code (IRC) now requires that crawlspace vents are sealed.Learn More Basement Finishing & RemodelingJon’s Dry Basement® Foundation Repair has developed a patent pending wall system designed to make finishing your basement very affordable. We call it the Magic Wall System® and designed it with the knowledge that using inorganic material below grade level is critical. The Magic Wall System® is designed to be highly water and fire resistant, save energy costs and provide a beautiful, finished basement at the same or less than the cost of traditional “stick” remodeling work.Learn More Meet Our General Manager Click Here to See Our Staff Jon PetersonJon was born and raised in Carlisle, Iowa.
