If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product. I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) – NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string "Tall Fescue Control" – there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services. There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this – it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators – pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway. Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that. In the summer, this is a job that might need to be completed as often as once each week, and without a riding lawnmower, it can take hours. Homeowners should expect to pay roughly $61 for professional mowing services, but the exact price will depend on where your home is located as well as the total size of your lawn.lawn mowing prices 3Junious Robinson 5 months ago Rob’s lawn Care charges $45 and up for lawn services, extra charges are for edging, trimming and removing leaves. elizabeth lamm 7 months ago I need 3 tons of Riverrock delivered to my house tomorrow, Sat Yolanda Lopez 9 months ago How much it will be Lawn Mowing one time Service? CAROL SAM 9 months ago Alvamar Landscaping for Yard or Garden Installation: This company is the best -they came when they said they wold and they completed the work  exactly  when they said they would. The family were not at home when they came but they did a beautiful job anyway (They do not  have to be monitored). They removed old mulch old shrubs, replaced the liner, + mulch-cleared away o;d plants & grass – added new rose plants- trimmed the small tree and also mulched the front of the home (sidewalk) 2 days later my neighbors mulched their sidewalk , lol.  Alvamar is engaging, he explains the project clearly answers all of your questions, gives suggestions and he charges reasonably, I was extremely satisfied with the outcome.
